Every touch, on the record.

Fencers rewatch their bouts and remember an impression. Engarde turns the same footage into technique, timing and position you can actually read back.

You scored — Parry-4, riposte, 5/5, 3:34

Red is a touch you scored, green is one you conceded. Height shows where it landed on the piste.

What Engarde is

Engarde AI is a bout analysis platform for fencing. It started from a problem every competitive fencer knows: you lose a bout, you have a vague sense of why, and by the next tournament that sense is gone.

The premise is that the fencer and the coach are the ones who understand the bout. Engarde does not try to watch the video for you. It gives you a fast way to record what happened, then does the part people are bad at — holding hundreds of touches in memory and finding the pattern in them.

The goal is simple: make the thing you already half-know about your fencing precise enough to train against.

Who it is for

Fencers

Keep a record of every bout you fence, across seasons. See which of your actions actually score, where on the piste you are strongest, and what a particular opponent has done to you before you meet them again.

Coaches and clubs

Run a team from one place. See every fencer's markings and statistics, leave feedback on individual touches, and compare fencers on the same technique instead of relying on what you happened to notice from the sidelines.

What you get

Mark a bout while you watch it
Upload the video, then tag each touch as it happens: who scored, which technique, how clean it was, and where on the piste it landed. A five-touch pool bout takes a couple of minutes.
Your own technique vocabulary
Techniques are a tree you build yourself, so "attack in preparation" can sit under whatever you and your coach actually call it. Nothing is forced into someone else's taxonomy.
Statistics that answer real questions
Which techniques convert. Where on the strip you score and concede. How you do against a specific opponent across a season. The numbers come out of your own markings, not a model guessing at video.
Notes that land where they belong
A coach can leave feedback on a single touch rather than on the bout as a whole, so the comment is attached to the moment it is about.

Try it yourself

Don't take our word for it — mark a couple of touches right here. No account, no video, just the core of it.
